I Have really enjoyed using the book Ada’s Violin to enhance the learning and connectivity of my students with the world.  Making recycled instruments has been a pleasure with so many age groups and communities throughout Vermont.  I highly recommend the book and the following videos.  Check out my free downloadable lesson plans linked to all the Red Clover books on my website MCBakerVT.com

Here are some pictures of some drums that had the ability not just to “drum” (that’s what drums do best!), but also to “shake” (died beans and rice inside), “thump and twang” (a rubber band around the jar that serves to make sound), and “move” (note the green up day bags going into double duty as a streamer to add some flutter to our instrument).
