What a wonderful show!
It was 2 weeks of intense work and stress BUT the final product was AMAZING!
It was truly a school wide effort.
What I really enjoyed was the way our students rose to the challenge, managed their stress, and really came through with a star performance that made us all very proud at Fletcher Elementary.
One of the things that I was SO impressed with is the sense of community that we have developed through the the arts program. I have published before about our “art buddy program” (a pairing of our oldest and youngest artists at FES). What I noticed DURING the final performance was my 6th grade artists actually sat down with their art buddy friends and took the time to include them and make them feel important. This was simply beautiful to watch. I was SO very proud of these children.
